Anna completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University in 2019, and graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Optometry in 2023. For her academic performance, commitment to patient care and professionalism, Anna was awarded the 2023 Optometry Victoria South Australia Student Academic Award for the University of Melbourne.

During her graduate year, Anna received the inaugural position in the Clinician Research Training Program, a joint initiative between the Australian College of Optometry and Melbourne Eyecare Clinic. In November 2024, Anna commenced her PhD as the recipient of the Runaboard Diabetic Retinopathy PhD Scholarship in the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Her PhD project aims to explore diurnal variations to ocular immune markers in individuals with diabetes. Greater understanding of how diabetes disrupts these variations could facilitate improved timing of immune targeted therapies over the course of the day.

Alongside her PhD, Anna continues clinical practice as an optometrist at the Australian College of Optometry. She has also recently been inducted as a Clinical Teaching Instructor and looks forward to contributing to the education and training of future optometrists.
